Give your children African folktale books that look like them. Born in Abidjan, Ultimes Griots collects and illustrates tales from the 54 countries of Africa: illustrated picture books for bedtime reading, collections to discover one tale at a time, comics for older kids — a collection where every child, from France, Côte d’Ivoire or the diaspora, finds a hero who looks like them.

Why choose Ultimes Griots books?

  • Authentic collection — our tales are gathered at the source, from African oral tradition, not reinvented.
  • African illustrators — every book is illustrated by artists from the continent, for a fair and proud representation.
  • Positive heroes — our characters awaken the hero sleeping inside every African child.
  • 54 countries, a thousand stories — an immense heritage, made accessible from the earliest age.
