1. Purpose and scope

These terms govern the sale of the books and comics offered on ultimesgriots.com by Ultimes Griots Group (UGG), an SARL registered with the RCCM of Abidjan under no. CI-ABJ-2020-B-11777. They do not cover subscriptions to the Kuma app, which are subject to separate terms.

2. Products and prices

Prices are displayed in CFA francs (XOF), all taxes included, excluding delivery charges. The euro equivalent shown for information only is calculated at the fixed parity of 655.957 FCFA to 1 euro; only the FCFA amount is binding. We may change our prices at any time; the applicable price is the one displayed at the time of the order.

3. Orders

The order is final once you confirm payment. We send you a confirmation by email. We reserve the right to refuse a manifestly abnormal order or in the event of a prior dispute.

4. Payment

Two payment methods are offered:

  • Bank card and Mobile Money via Paystack (Visa, Mastercard, Orange Money, MTN MoMo, Moov Money). Payment is collected by Paystack; we do not store any banking data.
  • Cash on delivery, in the areas where it is offered.

5. Delivery

We deliver in Côte d'Ivoire, throughout the country. Delivery charges amount to 2,000 FCFA and delivery is free on orders from 32,800 FCFA — pickup in person in Abidjan is possible and free, by appointment arranged in advance.

Usual delivery times are 24 to 48 hours in Abidjan and 3 to 5 business days in the rest of Côte d'Ivoire, from the confirmation of your order. These times are indicative and may be longer during periods of high demand.

We do not yet offer shipping outside Côte d'Ivoire. If you live abroad, write to us at editions@ultimesgriots.com before ordering: we consider each request on a case-by-case basis.

Risks are transferred upon delivery of the parcel. If a parcel is damaged, state your reservations to the delivery person and notify us within 48 hours.

6. Returns and withdrawal

You have 7 days from receipt to ask us to take back an item that does not suit you, without having to give a reason, by writing to editions@ultimesgriots.com. The books must be returned to us complete and in a condition that allows them to be resold. Return costs are borne by you, except in the case of a defective product or an error on our part.

Refunds are made within 14 days of receipt of the return, to the payment method used for the order.

7. Defective or non-conforming product

If a copy reaches you damaged, incomplete or different from your order, notify us within 14 days with a photo: we will exchange or refund it, with return costs borne by us.

8. Complaints and disputes

Write to editions@ultimesgriots.com: we reply within 24 business hours and first seek an amicable solution. Failing that, Ivorian law applies, without depriving European consumers of the mandatory provisions of their country of residence.
