Its name, taken from the <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Malink%C3%A9_(peuple)\">Malinke<\/a>&nbsp;dialect, literally means \u201cblack dog with ten horns.\u201d In its build, the Danfin woulou (short name) has a physique far beyond that of ordinary dogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The beast is rather large, even huge for a dog. Fiery eyes, sharp teeth, a tail several meters long&#8230; the Danfin woulou\u2019s head is crowned with ten horns, two of them curved like the horns of a <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mouflon\">mouflon<\/a>, four small horns right at forehead level and four large horns in the middle of the head.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The legend of the Danfin woulou bynie tan<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the legend is to be believed, the Danfin woulou has been the last occupant of the Cave of Brotherly Tears for about 1,000 years. Its origin goes back to a dark era that the Eloko (country) of Kurufuga is said to have gone through. All we can tell you for now is that, originally, the beast did not exist.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, its existence is closely tied to the survival and stability of the kingdom. In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ultimesgriots.com\/en_US\/chap4-mbobog-et-le-jeli-2\/\">chapter 4 of Book 1<\/a> of the adventure, you discover that the Danfin\u2019s blue tears are sacred to the kingdom. A sacredness that requires a child to be sacrificed to the beast, but not just any children&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The kingdom\u2019s sacred water therefore comes at a price that the Danfin woulou bynie tan accepts under duress. Who knows why? All we can tell you for now is that the beast takes no pleasure in devouring the children offered to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">And yet&#8230;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The beast\u2019s name is linked to terror. It is the greatest fear in the tales told to children in the classes of the second seven-year cycle. Rightly or wrongly, the rest of the adventure will tell.
